5th Saturday All-Day County-Wide (Driving Hunt):
Hunt starts at 10 AM from Montgomery Field parking lot. Any number of transmitters hidden anywhere in San Diego County.
Ride-Along's are welcome and encouraged, training and basic equipment is generally available for newcomers. We usually pick a place to meet for dinner after the hunt.

We are holding a Fox Hunt on Thursday July 31st at 11:00 am.
The Fox will be transmitting on VHF 145.700 with no tone needed.
As usual, the Fox will transmit Marc's call sign in CW, N5BWX, for 90 seconds then go silent (no carrier) for 90 seconds. This process will repeat throughout the hunt. Marc may transmit on the Fox frequency with a few jokes or hints so you can lock onto his signal during the Fox downtime.
The hunt will begin at 11:00am with an announcement on the Conway VHF repeater 145.110. Marc will monitor the Conway repeater along with the Fox Frequency
The hunt will take place in the Socastee area.
-Highway 707 (Socastee Blvd) to the north.
-Highway 17 Bypass to the East
-Big Block Road to the East along Sheffield Road to the South
-Highway 707 to the West
This is the smallest area for a hunt so far but will be a challenge.

Details: Grand Strand Amateur Radio Club is holding a Fox Hunt on Saturday, October 25 beginning at 9:00 am
The Fox will be transmitting on VHF 145.700 with no tone needed.
As usual, the Fox will transmit Marc's call sign in CW, N5BWX, for 90 seconds then go silent (no carrier) for 90 seconds. This process will repeat throughout the hunt. Marc may transmit on the Fox frequency with a few jokes or hints so you can lock onto his signal during the Fox downtime.
As an added bonus there will be a low power fox also transmitting a beep on 146.000. It has a range of about 300 feet. This was built and donated by Mark Reeves, K9MDR
The hunt will begin at 9:00 am with an announcement on the Myrtle Beach VHF repeater 147.240 and the Conway repeater 145.110 for those driving into Myrtle Beach. Marc will monitor the Myrtle Beach repeater along with the Fox Frequency
The hunt will take place in Myrtle Beach proper.
The boundaries for the hunt are:
-Hwy 501 to the north
-Hwy 544 to the south
-Hwy 17 Bypass to the west
-The beach to the east
And no, it is not on the airport grounds!!!!!

Details: The White Rock Lake ARC sponsors Radio Fox Hunting in the area surrounding White Rock Lake, Dallas Texas. Three VHF, one UHF, and two 80m HF radio transmitters are provided by Dave Catlett, amateur call K5YR, and David Ricker, KG5VSR. These small transmitters are put out for amateur radio operators (hounds) to practice radio direction finding (Fox Hunting) on the east side of Dallas, Texas.
